I don't kno...We have the same problem in math. I don't know how many times I've heard parents tell their kids "Yeah, I hated math too." or "I could never get it either." instead of "Yeah, it may not be easy, but if you work at it you <i><b>can</b></i> get it." or "Try, you'll be amazed at what you can do if you just try." Most of the students I see that fail at math do so because they give up, because they are given the out of "I just don't get it." I had a student years ago, I still remember his name but won't mention it here, that really struggled with the math, but he came in almost every day after school and we went over things again and again. It was amazing how much he accomplished (no, he never got As) just because he didn't give up, he (his parents, his siblings, I don't know) didn't allow the "I just don't get it." easy way out.Max Sartinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07271198231897203659noreply@blogger.com
