What It's Like To Be A Teacher Nowadays

I found this on Martin's blog.  It sums things up very well.  :)

(I've long said that you can drown a junior high school horse but still not get him to take even one sip.)

  1. My wife (a sixth grade teacher) needs to follow you.

  2. So hilarious, and true. The picture and your drowning comment. :)

  3. This is why I'm changing careers—I won't be held responsible for things I can influence and not control, but I berate myself for not being as effective as [insert non-teacher educational constituent here] says I should be.

    1. Well, you have a MATH degree; you're wanted everywhere. I have an MSc in LITERATURE. So, besides teaching, I have such vast options as bagging groceries and asking people if they want fries with that. :P
